Has anyone ever shot the rat the homeless kids in freeside are chasing?

At first I thought it was a pet but my buddy said "No dumb*** they are trying to kill it" -

lol, I did that as soon as I saw them, in fact...the rat was moving down a side street so I had to chase after it for a bit to get a clear shot.
It just seemed like the right thing to do

After a few days I got tired of seeing those little freaks go back and eat from the rotting corpse so I picked it up and tossed it in one of the flaming barrels in the area... Ha, you little thugs, enjoy the BBQ, I thought... Only to return a few days after that and find the rat is alive again! WTH?! Flaming barrels ressurect the dead? Maybe Doc Mitchell visited Freeside.
