those trolls are really trolling

One of the worst enemies i saw in skyrim, and prolly my no. 1 hated, is the frost troll. Actually just about any other trolls are annoying. At lv 10 or below, its dam hard to kill one troll because of its regen rate, so that troll at high hrothgar is basically a pain in the ass. But what is worse is, if u run, they follow.
Hell, i had one troll follow me all the way from dawnstar to whiterun. I think it even entered the house i took shelter in.
Is there anyway to stop those trolls from following you?

Yes, try kiting it to some guard... they should attack it on sight. Meanwhile don't attack it, only run in circles around the guard. Once the troll will change target RUN!

I hate trolls. When i wabted to go speak with the Greybeards (on my second account.. I was level 21 with the Daedric armour, my follower had a glass armour then) i had to kill 3 trolls when always you have to kill just one near the Greybeards place yeah... I couldnt kill the third at all. And something really weird happened.. After re loading the game after being killed so many times the troll just disappeared so i killed 2 trolls instead of 3 because the third just vanished. I'm happy. But still trolls love trolling and i hate that!

Trolls and many other monsters don't cross water. Cross a river or a stream or a pond and they will just give up or will take a long time to get around it. If you are going up to High Hrothgar, one way of dealing with it is just sprint past the troll and you will probably lose him. If the troll follows you all the way to the monastery, the greybeards have incredibly powerful combat skills and will easily dispatch him for you.

I like to let them chase me while I drop fire runes behind me - an easy spell to get at low levels, and one of the only uses I really find for it.

i ran out of stamina and that troll caught up with me and BAM insta-kill.
Not only is a troll powerful, it can run fast too. Not to mention it can open doors :(
I bet an ancient dragon isnt as smart as a troll

Not so, I've had Trolls and other beast swim across to get me. Finding a ledge or rock formation to stand on can be a life saver, especially if you have a bow.
