I thought Bethesda learnt from Fallout 3 about DLC

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 4:08 pm

You all know what I mean, now it was probably my fault about not making a save before I did the final quest (well, one that's close to where I am) but I would have appreciated an option to free roam after the main story is complete, unless they plan to release a Broken steel esque DLC soon, The achievements is all that will keep me personally.

Bethesda didn't make New Vegas, Obsidian did.

Yeah, they did stop the game and throw up that big "This is the point of no return" dialog that everyone clicks through for a reason. That's why I've suggested they use a DLC to make that dialog full-screen-size, timed so it can't be clicked through for 20 seconds, and blinking in neon red.

Obsidian has repeatedly said they will not destroy the ending they created with a DLC. That's "repeatedly," as in over and over and over.

Protip: Next time through, when the game halts and a text box appears, read it before knee-jerk clicking it away.

Kinda doesn't help when your sister runs in and spas presses at your controller.

so your sister just randomly ran in and pressed the button, ruining your chance at happiness.

ok reload a save. or hide the controller, blame your sister not obsidian

Sabotage. She played it first, then sat watching around the corner with a mirror just waiting. "I know that dialog will pop up soon...NOW, gogogo!!"

Anyway, I honestly don't know why some people can't just finish what they feel they must finish before taking that final quest.
Seems simple enough.
or just start another character, we got 4 main routes after all.

While you're down about being sentenced to a second playthrough, I'll go work on my fourth.

agggh!! this argument again!! look up the dictionary definition of the word "end" and then YOU figure out why the game ENDS when it ENDS! you were clearly given a warning, and a brilliant ending. d-eal. i hope obsidian NEVER let us play beyond the end or else they'd be caving into their ideals.

LOL that is awesome. I feel your pain kid. At least you know for the next playthrough. To ease the pain of having to start over, how about trying a new character build and choosing different alliances? That might take some of the sting out and you might actually have a blast.

Good luck!
