Thoughts on the card game

The card game in Rage is probably the best collectable card game in a video game I've played (the others being Pazaak in Knights of the Old Republic and Caravan in Fallout New Vegas.)

When you first get to Wellsprings (and are first able to play the game) it will be hard to play 125 point games. I stick to the $25/75 point games. In $25 dollar games you rarely face vehicles, and thus ranged cards are better than melee cards. I therefore like to play a Ghost deck.

Because damage is frequently halved and rounded down while health is not, I prefer round number for attack values. IE, Rikter with 4 damage and 4 health is preferable to Dan Hagar with 3 damage and 5 health.

The card pool when you first get to Wellsprings:

NAME --------------- Points - Type ---- Attack - Health - Faction --- Special ------------------
Sheriff Black 15 Melee 3 7 Settler Other Settlers get +1 to damage
Dan Hagar 10 Melee 3 5 Settler
Loosum Hagar 10 Ranged 4 4 Settler
Janus 10 - - 5 Settler Healing
Mayor Clayton 10 Melee 2 5 Settler Other Settlers get +1 to health
City Guard 5 Ranged 2 2 Settler
Ghost Boss 15 Ranged 4 6 Ghost Other Ghosts get +1 to damage
Ghost Bonestick 10 Ranged 3 4 Ghost
Ghost Pistol 10 Melee 4 4 Ghost
Wasted Turret 15 Ranged 5 5 Wasted Other Wasteds get +1 to damage
Wasted Pistol 10 Melee 3 5 Wasted
Wasted Club 10 Melee 4 4 Wasted
Club Mutant 5 Melee 5 3 Mutant
Sentry Turret 10 Ranged 5 2 -

HE Grenade 5 - - -

Dune Buster 15 - - 6 Vehicle (Ranged cards must attack this)
Jetter 10 - - 4 Vehicle (Ranged cards must attack this)

Would you mind explaining what exactly you're talking about. I know about the collectable cards and crap but WTF exactly is it that you are going on about with damage and whatever else you have listed above.

People like you are the cause why replies such as this one get created. You just spew out random information that means absolutely nothing and then magically expect every single person who reads it, to somehow magically know exactly what it is that you're talking about.

How about you explain exactly every small little detail about this card game. Such as what purpose it serves the rules, how to platy it, you know all the crucial need to know little details that are important instead of giving you thoughts on some random thing that makes absolutely zero sense.

and in case you're still confused by what I mean, then let me simplify this even further.

I should be able to read what you posted and know everything about it without having even been up to that point in the game, so yes I should already know what this so called card games function/purpose serves as well as the rules and how to play it.

If you don't want to provide all that information that needs to be there then don't bother posting things you know are only going to get a bunch of questions asked about what you did not put.

ALL FORUMS HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND THAT IS PEOPLE ASSUME, THEN WHEN SOMEONE DOESN'T KNOW THEY TRY TO GET OFF SCOTT FREE BY USING AN EXCUSE SUCH AS GOOGLE IT OR GO LOOK IT UP.

Wrong because the person that brought it up is solely responsible for making sure what they bring up people know all about it and if they cannot or refuse to provide details then they shouldn't be posting anything to begin with.
