THREAD OF RESPECT AND APPRECIATION

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 7:22 am

Hi fellow peeps.I know there has been a lot of negative issues people have had to deal with and beth has tried to sort them out but i just feel that the game is epic...ok its got its faults and its issues but hey thats just like all TES and FALLOUTS its something i expect when i buy the game from beths.I even think some of the stuff is hilarious(see WTF thread)and it reminds us that these games are made by humans and breaks up on a temp basis the world we enthrall ourselves in.

As i said the game is far from perfect but i think all involved in makiing the game...the programers, the artists, the sound guys etc etc all deserve MASSIVE RESPECT AND APPRECIATION for busting there gonads to bring us the world of skyrim....hell i got the game on 11.11.11 and im just over 300hrs level 61 and still got stuff going on i mean for £40 c,mon???

I am having a great time playing this world and respect go out to all those involved in making it.

. :thanks: beth

SO PLEASE FELLOW PEEPS LET THEM KNOW YOUR APPRECIATION EVEN THOUGH ITS FAR FROM PERFECT. :tes:

roll on dlc!!!

This thread has made me cringe. Learn how to use the English language properly, I beg you. And I don't quite get how a hiking simulator can generate such blind veneration. It is far from the best game and it's overall quality is at best, the same as Oblivion and Morrowind.

i don't want to be negative but the issues being in past games isn't an excuse. They lied to PS3 gamers. Yes they have fixed some of the issues, but this shouldn't be defended.

650+ hours played says it all I guess. I might want to complain about this or that, but I obviously love the game.

Why not just let this thread be?
There are plenty of threads dissing the game, why not just be reasonable and leave the threads with something positive to say alone, yeah?
If you started a "I think it's [censored]" thread and people hijacked it with "I think it's great and you're wrong" you'd soon complain.
Give it a rest.

Actually, I'd say "hiking simulator" is pretty accurate and in no way disrespectful.

What's wrong with an enjoyable hiking simulator with some action and adventure added?

I've enjoyed the game myself on this basis and have often commented on the beautiful world Beth provided in Skyrim.

There are plenty of threads dissing the game, why not just be reasonable and leave the threads with something positive to say alone, yeah?

There have been plenty of threads other than the "looking for trouble" "why I think Skyrim svcks" kind where the OP has discussed areas they feel could be improved in Skyrim in a "positive criticism" manner and had quite a few people jump in to tell them to "quit complaining", "play another game", etc.

Just the way these threads go.

I agree that threads giving Beth congrats aren't the best place to discuss any "flaws" a person sees, just as threads trying to offer constructive criticism don't need people jumping in with a poinrless "stop complaining" type line.

Welcome back!

There are some things about Skyrim that bug the crap out of me (mainly bugs...) but I do like to see threads like these because credit should be given where it is due. Last night I turned on Skyrim for the first time in a few months (with the new patch, yay!). Once again I was stunned at how beautiful the world is and how detailed everything is.

It was sort of funny, when Alduin appeared and shouted me off the chopping block, I felt like he was an old friend. I have fond memories of the first time I went through that part of the intro (11-11-11), I was running into walls and tripping over stuff, trying to get away from the dragon. It was also about 3:00 in the morning - I couldn't keep my eyes open but I couldn't force myself to stop playing. :teehee:

This time I also turned the music up. What a great soundtrack!

(edited for paragraph spacing...oops)

So you go and contribute to the problem?

On topic- it has flaws that still need to be fixed but I enjoy the game greatly and thank beth for having made it.

-snip-
It's no more a Hiking Simulator than Morrowind and Oblivion.
I've seen enough Hentai to know where this thread is going, but I just wanted to get my endorsemant in, that's all.

Almost as much as whine threads lately, i'd say. Some say this place is all whine, some say it's all praise. I say which one you see depends on your own feelings towards the game ;)

I strive to stay neutral, but not having played it for some time i notice myself slipping towards the whiners

This is an awesome post. So full of personality. But let's face it, Skyrim the best damn hiking simulator ever to grace the face of Earth. A hiking simulator with murder. A hiking simulator with magics and dragons. I will gladly purchase the next hiking simulator they come out with.
