How will they record the story from Skyrim and tie it in to future games?

There are two different time lines, one where the Empire wins and one where the Stormcloaks win. That means they can't use that story or even mention it in future games without conflicting with what happened in Skyrim.

It is possible it could be resolved in a DLC.

The same way daggerfall ended, every single option is true, both the storm cloaks and the imperials won but a truce was still negotiated with the help of the greybeard.

This doesn't work because
Spoiler
both story lines end with the sacking of a different capital city and the death of a different person of import

Not necessarily, there are still 'essential' mobiles from each faction...

So however unlikely, it is still possible.

Why do you feel the need to write in big ugly letters? OT Lore takes precedents over your personal choice. In lore the Dragonborn is always a Nord male, just like the Nevarvarine is a Dunmer male. Lore will decide wheather or not the Stormcloacks or the Empire won. that or what Chemical said about another warp.

I think Alduins defeat and the use of the time wound will cause another dragon break-esque event. All of the outcomes actually happened, in their own dimension so to speak.

but when you think about it, the war wasn't one. what is concluded at the end of the civil war line? nothing. it's not over, and it'll more than likely still continue. you can easily make it so the winner or loser died or didn't die a few days/weeks/months earlier/later depending on how they want to do it, but the "ending" of the line isn't conclusive whatsoever..

Well, to only compound this further...

You can finish the Civil war before the :

Spoiler

Moot right?

How does that work without Ulfric? Tulius?

Damnit, now I have to finish that and see how it plays out in the MQ.

Playthrough #9 :ermm:
