Tip on how to make caps really fast

Post » Tue Feb 22, 2011 5:51 am

I made about 8000 caps from this. If you go into the van graffs with a stealth boy, you can steal ALL of their stuff without ANY karma loss. If Gloria has enough caps on her, you can even sell it all back to her. But in my case she didnt, so i sold it all to gun runners. Just a quick tip, alot of you probably already know about this. Happy gaming.

If I had 10 Caps for everyone who posted a Spoiler or Cheat or Hint in the General Section, I would have more than 8,000 caps by now.....

I will move this for you.

If I had 2 caps for every time a moderator overreacted about someone posting a spoiler in the general section I would have 2 caps now.

What's the point? You never have financial problems in the game.

Well, it's a little bit of a challenge to get into the strip 30 minutes into the game.

is there nothing comparable to slavery from FO3 (I loved turing in collared raiders for small karma hits and loads of cash)?

I like hunting Fiends myself, especially the ones toting energy weapons. Get plenty of caps from selling their stuff, experience and good Karma. What's not to like? Except maybe getting your armor messed up, there's always that little problem, since there's no such thing as an Armor Repair Kit. An annoying oversight, IMO.

repairing weapons in fallout is an easy thing to do. Use the same weapon with higher or lower condition or get your self a repair kit. If you want to repair your armor you either need a [censored] load of caps or a similar armor, and ofcurse if the armor has a faction mark on it in NV you cant use it to rapair another armor... In my case its the BoS armor :(

Well, from Goodsprings to Mojave outpost, without stealing ANYTHING I've made 12000 caps...

Yeah...I'm not sure how, but Primm had some good stuff to sell.

I agree with the OP, but killing the Van Graffs is SO much more fun! Also, i kept the weapons (20 Plasma rifles anyone?) since caps no longer meant anything to me, i lost the need to buy things.

If you want to steal the weapons from the Silver Rush you don't have to use a Stealth Boy. You can just grab the gun/ammo you want, take it around to the room in the corner, where you will be out of sight, and steal it there.. Works every time.

Money is extremely easy to make in New Vegas. I could give pointers but I'll let the players discover on their own.

Primm doesn't have THAT much stuff to sell!

Or the merchants with enough caps to sell it to.
