Todd Howard plush toy

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 3:19 am

Greetings

In a similar manner to the Dovahkiin plush toy helmet, Bethesda should consider making its own limited edition Todd Howard plush toy for release close to the Chrismas holidays.

I had the inspiration for this product watching Todd's Skyrim interview with Ausgamers. There was something about the interview that gave me the urge to just hug him, probably his friendly and good-natured appearance.

From a marketing prospective, Bethesda should realise Todd has a large fan base, and plush toy merchandise tends to sell extremely well (Valve's headcrab plush toys, Blizzard's murloc and in-game mount plush toys all sold out fairly quickly meriting restocks).

Interested to hear opinions on the concept, and as always I welcome constructive criticism.

Regards,

Val.

Who's Todd Howard?

Wasn't he the main director of Dragon Age II and also responsible for adding multiplayer to Mass Effect 3?

Didn't he also code the PC port for Resident Evil 4 and Saints Row 2?

Dunno if this would be a good idea. You'd just have Princess Stomper buying the entire stock to keep for herself.

Yes, we don't need her...infatuation with the man to get any more disturbing. I wouldn't be surprised if he's had to change his location, phone number, email address, and social security number several times to get away from her. :P

You forgot his leather jacket which is always on. I mean come on Todd if I go in your room open up your dresser or closet I really hope I don't see fifty leather coats filling the whole damn closet. Or even worse Todd doesn't have many leather coats it is just one leather coat sewed on his body. Wear a wife beater for the hell of it , your favorite mod would love it.

Only if it came with humiliating clothes for him to wear, so I can make Todd Howard cross-dress.

Mancandy lollies might be okay, but I draw the line at soft toys and six dolls.

Attrebus action figures would be better (though I'm still a bit ambivalent about the idea), especially combined with some Ernesto toys. There's also the protochicken, the bear, and a few others that could work.

EDIT: If anyone feels like making a line of cyber chinchillas, go for it .

We'll see who can last longer camped out in front of Wal-Mart.

Skyrim's Collector's Edition should have included a Todd plushie. Then people would actually buy it.

No... that's creepy. I really don't understand how some people on this forum see him as a god, he makes amazing games but the fan level is really creepy.

Now we shall sacrafice this human to please the overlord Todd. May Skyrim have huge success.

Who's Todd Howard?

He was the man responsible for no mounted combat developed in Oblivion and Skyrim, get him! :flame: :gun:

On a serious note, I wouldn't get any plush toy, ever, of another person. The only circumstance I would even touch one if it was to do what I did when I worked at Blockbuster shortly after high school, where I inflated a dozen balloons with the helium tank, unravelled a new toilet paper roll about 50 feet, tied the plush toy and toilet paper to the balloon, walked outside, and released it into the air to be free of haunting some poor child out there.

Making a plush toy of game developer is a bit different than making one of a enemy in a game. And weirder. But, then again, I've been needing a new cuddle buddy when I sleep.
