Too difficuld

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 5:03 am

I′m really pissed of this game in moment.I′m only playing on normal, and I′m only at level 8.
I find the combat too much difficuld.
In moment I′m in a fortress and trying to beat the Boss.I′ve tryed a million of times, but no matter how serious I try,I cant compete with a 3 strike kill, when i need at least 10.
It′s just not fair, and please all your hardcoe players,-do NOT reply.
I′m really pissed!

Some creatures don't scale with you and are therefore incredibly hard or impossible to beat at lower levels (e.g. giants). If you think you should be able to beat this creature at your current level, try bringing (more?) potions or using another strategy to kill it. Rely on the skills you've spent your perk points in.

Not all people/places are balanced to your level. You will find higher level NPC's in places, so if yu cannot defeat them, leave, go elsewhere and come back to it later on when your stronger.

Try different tactics.

Get some potions to help

Leave and do a few levels and then come back

Good luck

It would be easier for us to help you for your fight if you describre what you are going against and your fighting method. If this does not work you can always bring the difficulty slider down :)

have you turned down the difficulty? Also you can bite off more than you can chew in some places, i'd recommend coming back later when you've beefed up a bit. Also try to focus your character, having a high kill skill is very important

Turn the difficulty down, just for that fight. I know how you feel sometimes. If you don't want to turn the difficulty down, do what the guy above me says. Use what you have trained in. If the skills you have trained in aren't working, then maybe you are playing the wrong type of character, suited to your play style. So maybe a skill change might be in order? Who knows, either way, it's down to you, dude.

I′m NOT looking for help!
I just say that I find the combat too difficuld in my prewious level.
I′ve played both Fallout 3 and Vegas, and playing on Very Hard in those games was a piece of cake compare to this one.
If I encounter some bandit in level 8,I′ll also want to have an opportunity to beat them.

Are you saying that you find it difficult to beat a bandit when you're at level 8? Or did I misunderstand..?

Open world means you can, and probably will, encounter things above your level. If you can play Fallout, you can play Skyrim- you're most likely simply throwing yourself against a mob that is way too high for you. Also, as others have suggested, have you turned down the difficulty slider?

You can't look at the game as a set of rails- everything you see is not always meant to be touched at that moment, and sometimes you learn that the hard way. So while you may be level 8, the area you've wandered into is not.

I think he means that he wants to have a chance to beat any creature he encounters (like Oblivion.) The problem is, Skyrim isn't fully scaled like that.

There are places in the game that are set to higher levels. No shame in running away and coming back later. That is kind of the point here. Would you start New Vegas, go looking for Deathclaws straight away, then say it was too hard?

Still I find it very annoying that some people,-even if english is theyr nature language dont understand a simple question or complain.
Yes,-I have found a bandit in level 8 that I CAN NOT beat.Difficould means difficould,no matter how you spell it!!
I don′t want to changes the difficoulty,-I play on normal.and I want to be able to beat/compare with all other creatures/people I meet on that level!

Bethesda pretty much said-pre release that dungeons do have a set range of levels. And if you're too far below it'll scale down a little bit but you might have to come back to it if it's still too difficult. So, turn the hell around and go fight other stuff when you can't beat a dungeon after the fourth or fifth try.

Creature levels don't scale to your level. Meaning, not everything in the game is beatable at lvl 8.

Btw, don't lash out at people for misunderstanding you, it seemed like he/she genuinely didn't know what you were saying. As you yourself said, you're not a native English speaker, so your questions don't always make a lot of sense if you jumble the grammar, just like I would if I tried to speak a foreign language I wasn't fluent in.

You may not be looking for help, but others have given you good advice here and you should heed it. Here's something else that makes a huge difference: enchanting. It's really strong. In Fallout you don't have to do anything like that to get by, but in Skyrim it can make a night and day difference. Especially if you're lacking in some other area, like not having spent enough perks in an offensive skill.

Also: pay no attention to the idiots trolling you for your spelling.

It wasn't meant as an insult. Being a bit more specific would be appreciated though, I can't imagine you're talking about a regular bandit since they are easy to kill even at level 1. I guess you're talking about a bandit outlaw, bandit thug, etc.

if English isn't your first language, tell us in your first post, then I would be more understanding. I apologize for any offense I caused.

anyways, just follow the advice given here so far, and realize that skyrim is not scaled like oblivion. If you go into shimmermist caves at level 1, expect to have your butt handed to you by Falmer, who start at level 8

Precisely. FO:NV has no go areas. You are railroaded because you know where they are. Skyrim has (potential) no go areas, you just don't know 'til you are in trouble. Personally I like that. A sense of danger. When I first came across Dwemer ruins, it was "no way, I'm not going in there." Didn't get that in Oblivion, and only just in FO3.

You can either turn off the dificulty for the fight

or

Use everything you got on him (scrolls, potions etc) and try not to get hit.If you are a melee char, avoid( or block with a shield if you use one) his attacks and try to stagger him to get some extra hits. Unrelenting force is very useful too if you have it, to stagger him. Then run around till you have enough stamina to stagger him again..Any other role, i guess kite him is the way to go.
Note that sometimes you can find those flamable liquid \ traps. If you see a red\purple liquid on the floor you can set it on fire with a fire spell,or by knocking down a pot hanging from the ceiling( usually there is one). You mentioned a fortress though so i doubt there would be one in there since they usually are at crypts or caves.

Hmm.,Ok I understand that.I′m just so pissed after trying to beat that Fortress
Boss so many times, that i feelt I need to come out with my expressions.
Ok,I understand now, that the only thing to do is to come back when I′m a hgher level-just like we needed sometimes in Fallout3 and Vegas.
-I′m down at the ground again,-if you understand that..
