Too many gamebreaking bugs!

Hello everybody,

And hello to the ones from Bethesda reading this.

I hope many people from Bethesda read this because it should concern them. As all of you know, the bigger the game, the more bugs there are.
And Skyrim is pretty huge. That means a lot of bugs. But....it is not just little things like a minor quest getting locked because you pick up an item before getting the quest.Main quests become nearly unplayable due to truly gamebreaking bugs.
Like with Esbern when you are supposed to find him in the ratway and he will not speak properly to you, with all the text just flashing away and there is no sound. That is of course after you found a workaround to open the door to even get to him!
Or during the civil war quest in the Battle for Windhelm when not only you do not encounter any hostile Stormcloaks in the city, but Ysraldar will not die and by consequence not stop attacking you, preventing the General Tullius from giving an epic speech after a final (epic if it wasnt bugged) battle and making the whole quest feel not nearly what it could be, because it is so bugged!

I do know that huge games are always a little glitchy and buggy, but Skyrim has major bugs in the Main quest line! That should under no circumstance be.
What is the harm in taking 6-12 months more time if need be for testing, but therefore you deliver a proper and excellent product which will create a loyal fanbase?
Is it really just the damn money.Because Skyrim is frustrating the hell out of me.On a regular basis i have to google and wiki and whatnot, trying to find workarounds to their bugs. That is killing the game. And i play on Pc which gives me a little advantage.

The atmosphere is great, until you encounter the next bug and if you keep getting svcked out of a great story, that gives me quite the rage!
Why does Bethesda seem to rely so much on modders and hardcoe-gamers to find the bugs and try and find a solution to them once the game is already out?The point is to give the gamers something to enjoy for their money, not make them pay only to work on the game themselves!
Why not take some more time to properly test it.A Game that can be infinitely played can not be tested in a couple of hours.I am sorry for this complaining but have you seen the bug list on some wikis. In the matter of a week it doubled and whatnot! And there are still more bugs coming in, ranging from minor to truly gamebreaking.I can live with smaller bugs like the questlocking ones , but then again why should i have to live with it?

My final point is that in the future, please consider more thorough testing because no matter how critically acclaimed the game is, it is not the critics that will buy the game and become loyal fans. And when too many fans become pissed off because they can not even properly play the main quests!!!, then you lose fans, customers and money!
Hell, i even volunteer for testing!

Welcome have a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/General:Fishy_Stick.

My annoying bugs are.

1. Ash piles stay in the world forever.
2. Weapons and arrows enemies drop and shoot stay in the world forever, the weapons tend to float in air after a while as well.
3. I think that when enemies drop theri weapons and its not swept from the world on the outside of ruins, the enemies never respawn.

These three things have have been within a stretch of one year game time.

4. The exploding items bug that makes decorating your home impossible.
5. The Blood on the Ice quest I cannot even begin.

Only continuously annoying bugs I've encountered would be:

Astrid's burnt corpses keeps falling off my Proudspire Manor bed and Cicero's corpse keeps falling out of the chair. Not to mention the guard corpses that I slaved over getting onto benches properly mysteriously vanished even though I've been visiting the cell regularly to grow my corpse pile.

The crap I put up with.

On a more serious not relating to my obsession with placing decorating houses with corpses: I don't think many have had massively game-breaking bugs, so it was generally tested well. There will always be occasions in games though where people just have incredibly awful game-breaking bugs where others did not, you may be frustrated but it's probably only going to be your problem for now.

Like how Astrid won't stay on the damn bed.

Hi there, thanks for the fishy stick!

I wondered why Sheogorath was "doing the fishstick" but given his status as the prine of madness, i simply thought" okkk.."

I also had the dragon corpses respawn permanently during the first 100 hours of gameplay. at first i thought nothing of it, but they kept falling out of the sky or crawling up from the ground, even getting my companion stuck if truly yet unwillingly badly timed.

I will never forget the name Mirmulnir as he was the first to do so.Now he and the others i′ve slain are gone but it was a little irritating at first. Yet newly slain dragons still respawn if i revisit the area.

As i said, i can live with most of the glitches and bugs, but a buggy mainquest-line is not cool.
Also i had to undergo multiple "sixchange" operations to get rid of the arrows stuck in me.
Some things are to a degree even funny, but some are not.

Simple solution, that will pretty much fix all bugs you come across...

Make plenty of saves, then go back if you encounter a bug. I'm on xbox, haven't had any gamebreaking bugs (except the magic resist of 1.2, fixed now), haven't had many minor bugs either to be honest.

Games can become corrupt very easily, though no fault of your own. If this is the case (its quite obvious sometimes when you encounter a lot of bugs), it's probably best restarting.
