I'm not that far into the game so I'm only going to put in weapons that I've come across thus far

1. 9mm- I just love the look and feel of this weapon and still use it
2. 10mm SMG- Feels, looks, and sounds better than the 10mm SMG in FO3. It is now a favorite of mine.

4. Cowboy Repeater rifle
5. Frag Grenades- I love frag grenades

Right now at level 13.

1: Hunting Rifle
2: Varmint Rifle <-- Yup, still useful. Just get all mods and use mostly AP ammo.
3: Lever Action Shotgun. With slugs in VATS.
4: Cowboy Rifle
5: 10mm SMG

Don't really have a top 5, but my current favorites are the Hunting Shotgun w/ Extended Magazine Tube, combine with the Shotgun Surgeon and Center Mass perks, and The Hunting Rifle w/ Scope and Custom Action.

Marksman Carbine: It's Marksman Carbine. I don't have to say anything else. But in case I do; awesome model, accurate, powerful, deadly in any situation, even being semi-auto.

Sniper Rifle: My own little bane of the Deathclaws. So awesome

Service Rifle: Helped me through tight spots. Great HP once you get the dura upgrade, and is just a neat gun

Ranger Sequoia: A handcannon if there ever was one. Beautiful pistol and powerful as hell. Hunting for its ammo svcks though

Maria: I love the 9mm a lot. This is even better. Just all around awesome. Also, another great model.

I have this weird looking laser tommygun thing that kicks ass, and eat MF cells.. gotta work on that energy weapon skill.
Like jj-Leon said, the 9mm -with extended clips cuz I hate reloading, still does the trick

and the sturdy caravan shotgun is quite effective

1. .357 Revolver- I love cowboy guns, so when they had completely accurate modeling of firing and reloading a single-action Peacemaker, it was just destined to steal my heart.
2. Maria- The engraving and pearl grips, just plain sixy. It would have been my #1 if they had used a 1911 .45 instead of a 9mm, but I can't put it down too much.
3. Cowboy Repeater- Once again, cowboy weapons steal my heart. A lever-action rifle is no exception.
4. Straight Razor- I'm just gonna take a little off the top...
5. C-4 Explosive- For everything else, there's C4.

And Thermic Lance, huh? Haven't happened across that one yet, but if it's anything like a real thermic lance that could easily make my Top 5!

Not in any order....

1. Hunting Rifle, loved it in 3, love even more now with its iron sights
2. Mysterious Magnum, i always love to have a revolver on me, and this one is the best so far with its unique appearance and 'sounds'
3. Hunting Shotgun, just found this one, but so far i love taking guys down with one shot in close range
4. 10mm Smg, the iron sights plus the new sound for it makes it much more enjoyable to use than the one in 3
5. Sniper Rifle- The sights are better now in my opinion, and i've literally spent 2 ingame days finding raider/fiend/powder ganger posts to pick enemies off from a distance. Also cleared out a majority of black mountain with it by putting my self on an opposite cliff from the mutants

Ballistic fist is off the charts badass. The Thermic Lance is cool, but as the top tier Melee weapon I don't see it being any better than the lower ranking Chainsaw, perhaps the greater reach?

At level 20, with the Cowboy perk:

1) Cowboy rifle
2) Tie between Maria and That Gun
3) Brush Rifle
4) Lever action shotgun
5) Riot shotgun

If I can get the Ranger Sequoia it will be up there pretty high.


These are just the coolest weapons to use, if we're talking about coolest and best weapons the Brush Rifle would be waaaaay up top (only limited by lack of ammo) followed by riot shotgun.
