Top Weapon Tier

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 5:12 pm

My smithing skill is maxed out as well as all smithing perks and all weapons and armor used are legendary tier, is this the top tier or can you go beyond legendary with armor and weapons?

If you use alchemy and/or enchanting you can go further, but as far as I know the name won't change.

You can go further but it won't change from Legendary, I've made my signature weapons go from 56 DMG to 98 DMG and my signature Battleaxe does 154 DMG (I have the Nord Hero Weapons)

What they said. Enchanting and Smithing is the only way outside of leveling your respective skill to increase the values or effectiveness. Once your respective skill hits 100, the only way to further increase it is through Enchants, Smithing, & Alchemy Pots. Skills will go past 100 with these. You can use an Alchemy pot to increase your Enchanting. You then use your Enchanting to Fortify your Smithing and can improve item values greatly and enchants greatly. The name will never change. Daedric and Dragon are the highest tiers available. You can literally throw away or not pick up any items once you have this gear.

So, the label does not change. It's still (Legendary), but the stats do. Anybody have a term they use for this? I call it (Legendary-ier)

Read you need +80 fortify past the 100 point before the change in legendrary starts to happen.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Smithing

Under the header ''Item Quality'' there is an interesting chart that shows what skill level you need in order to improve a character to a certain level. In the long run, through use of Enchanting, Alchemy and Smithing, you can go way over the level that is first considered legendary, but the name won't change. For example, my Daedric Bow had something like 95 damage and was considered Legendary, by now I've upgraded it to 180 or so damage, and it still has the same name and status.

Nope I know for a fact it will change with a +50 potion,

but with my current smithing gear and a potion the total modifier is 203 so stack that on to the smithing of 100 and thats not to bad for increasing weapon damage and armor protection
