Well, I died because I attacked the dragon and "initiated" battle. Then the giant 1 shot me. Are you curious as to who was losing the Dragon VS. Giant fight? I could tell you, but that might qualify as a spoiler :P

Watch and enjoy, until you get the Animal Allegiance shout, and can send the mammoths in.

look for butterflies that might get hurt, then cut off their wings.

I attacked because I thought maybe the giant wanted the dragon's soul for himself.

I probably would have sat back at a distance and bow shot the dragon....... would have been fun to watch though.

I wabbajacked 'em for lots of electrical damage. I was lucky, as although I attacked them both, I didn't pull aggro this time. Also, the giant landed the killing blow, and I STILL got the dragon soul, as I feared you don't get it if you don't tag the kill. I was wrong.

For your information, you should probably leave giants alone. They're really, really strong.

Shoot them both with fireballs. No need to choose, just use AoE.

Although if the dragon is one of the stronger breeds, I would suggest attacking it then just jumping up to a high ledge the giant can't get to then killing him as well.

I'm guessing the dragon, considering I've seen a mud crab kill a dragon by itself...

I've had this happen before. I helped the giant take out the dragon, and he went on his merry way after I absorbed its soul. Are they supposed to always attack you?
