Okay, so I completed the DB questline and have set up the new sanctuary in Dawnstar. Tricked it out full, so I have the torture chamber. You can repeatedly talk to each of the 4 victims until they give up the location of a cash drop somewhere on the world map. I have gone and done each pickup, netting a sweet 6200 gold.

My questions are:

Do the drops respawn with the same victims? If so, how long does it take to cycle them to where they will reveal new drops?

Do the drops respawn if you kill the original 4 victims? (i.e. will new victims be captured by the DB?)

I like the good money. Makes the investment in the location worthwhile. Would be even better if the returns were continuing. I sure could use the cash. Between this and the hidden chest, Dawnstar is a good moneymaker for my character.

no those 4 people nvr respawn and the money dont appear again. Basically you just get 6200g. the end.

Sounds more like an evil version of the Thieves' guild than a professional guild of assassins with a strict code of conduct.

Yeah, it doesn't quite fit in with the DB. I suppose it should have been a detail of the TG. Oh well. It's in there and I used it. There are apparently other uses for them, including filling soul gems (as mentioned) and leveling up destruction/restoration. I suppose those methods may make one even more of a "sick puppy" than just wanting more torture victims for cash.

Yea, I couldn't stand the moaning after a while and just released the poor sots from their misery. LOL (after I got the location to their treasures of course hahaha)

OH hahahaha leveling up destruction AND restoration... now there's a though! LOLOL

Yeah, apparently using the lowest level Destruction spell of your choice and the Healing Hands restoration spell in conjunction with one another will help you level both skills at the inconvenience of the torture victims.

What do I have to do to get the Torture Victims to tell me the locations of the treasure? They won't talk to me. They just stand there and moan and I have no way of interacting with them. Do I need to pick up the torture tools with Telekinesis and throw them at them or something?

Hmmm... I had the option to talk to them. It was a matter of talking to them 3-4 times in a row and they coughed up their secrets, each triggering a miscellaneous quest. Took me less than 10 minutes to track down all the cash drops.

I hope yours isn't bugged/glitched. That would be unfortunate, because 6200 gold for less than 10 minutes' work is pretty awesome.

This. I was rather disappointed when I discovered they were actually torturing people. They're supposed to strictly be assassins...

I get the impression the Night Mother wouldn't like it. I wouldn't either if not for the gold.
