(My esp file)

I've started modding since the CK's release, so I am totally clueless. I have barely grasped parts of Bethesda's CK wiki for now.

I've added two characters as potential followers, but 1. their skin tones come out weirdly for some reason.
2. They don't appear where I placed them from time to time (SleepingGiantInn)

And hopefully I wish to make them recruitable AFTER their introduction dialogue, which I have no idea how...

The skin tones problem is a known bug. I http://frontierskyrim.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/tesv-2012-02-13-20-33-30-20.jpg as well, and I know it's irritating. They're working on it, I hear, so we pretty much only need to wait for the CK update.

As for the second. Check your AI Packages. Make your NPC's stand completely still by deleting all AI packages from their list. You can then add your own packages as you learn more about them. My NPC's also behave weirdly sometimes, but they do appear in the positions I gave them.

You'll get the hang of it! Trial and error is the best way of learning, and combining that with the Wiki is great. You're on your way! :)

I don't think it's good practice to edit the original game scripts, even fragments. You should always create your own and attached it to whatever it is you are working with.
