Touchy Spells

Is there any "touch" spell like in oblivion or there's none at all?

I'm playing with a mage only NOW! (played with all other non-mage styles.. )

Is there any freaking spell like this?

I can't think of any at the moment. I found that even with something like Calm or Fury, you could fire it off from a great distance and it would travel to the target. If you're up close, it just gets there quicker. :tes:

Magic is completely destroyed in this installment.
Gone is the unique and highly customisable magic that was a hallmark of the series.
It is now replaced by generics.
Poorly balanced, poorly thought out and very minimal generics.
So, no, sorry. You wont find any spell like that to for instance buff up your follower.
Also no waterwalking, open lock, cure disease and the list goes on really.

The magic has been removed from TES.

No touch spells that I have ever found (currently have a "retired" Level 57 Dunmer Mage/Assassin).

While I don't agree with a previous person's post, I can definitely see where some would think that they took a lot of the magic out of the Magic.

IMHO, all that I ask is that they fix the damage scaling for the entire Destruction School. It was slightly more powerful than the other schools in past TES games, but in Skyrim it is vastly underpowered.

In one of my Mage characters, I took my time with the Perks, and worked them after careful condsideration so that Destruction was/should have been the "nuke 'em all" type of school. However when in a combat, my summoned creatures from the Conjuration school were more powerful and did more damage than my Destruction spells.

Even if they don't put Destruction on par with Morrowind or Oblivion, at least even it out with the other Magic Skills in Skyrim.

That's my only beef with the game. Other than Destruction being extraordinarily weak (for a school that houses all of the "battle spells"), I love the game and can't find a thing wrong with it.

The only thing that came close to touch spells in this game (loosely) is the cloaks (flame frost and lightning). Im kind of glad the touch spells are gone personally.

I highly disagree. I say magic finally makes sense. In Morrowind all the elemental spells were the basically the same spell only with different damage types, designed to be used against enemies with the corresponding elemental weakness, whereas the different elements now have different behaviour and secondary effects. This makes spellcasting much more flexible and believable.

Oblivion tried to implement something like this, but failed horribly IMO. And touch? The only time you'd ever make a touch spell is if you wanted a cheap one-shot high damage spell. In morrowind you'd make your 500 damage on touch AOE fire spell. In oblivion they decided to gimp magnitude, so the same spell would turn into a 100 damage for 5 secs spell. In Skyrim however, you have Firestorm for visual effect, or spamming dual fireballs if you want to kill stuff fast. And by dual I mean dual, not the single, albeit slightly stronger fireball you get by pressing both buttons at the same time.
