Traders and changed Time.

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 2:43 am

Playing on the PC I changed time from 30 to 12, I just didnt like how the days flew by.

Now I did this day 1, and all seems ok but...

The traders dont seem to get any new gear to sell. I am lvl 20 and I still havnt seen any A-M rifle or Sniper rifle at the Gun Runners.
Actually I am not even sure they are getting any new mods or other gear at all, or even replacing the old!

Now I have seen at least a few traders getting more caps, is new gear even slower then caps?
Is this just an "illusion" based on me moving 2.5 slower tru the days then normal?

Is it a bug?

I had the same problem. What I have found from reading is when you exit the game no matter what the day was when you saved. When you restart the game the day will reset back to Sunday. The traders are set to restock on certain days. So if that day never comes they will never restock. What I did was changed the restock day to Monday in the geck, and so far I have had no problems with it. If you know how to use the Geck the days are numbered Sunday = 0, and I think you would know the rest. By default I think the first restock day is set to Sunday. Which may be causing the problems. I think the clock has to strike 12AM on the restock day for the restock to occur. It is something they should fix. Also changing the timescale would make it worse being days last longer, and you would most likely not reach the second restock day being the days reset on restarts. I play at a 5 timescale. Takes a long time to get through a day.

I am sorry but that just sound insane, I am not saying your wrong but it makes no sense for the devs to do that.
Anyway I didnt use the GECK but the console to change the time, So I dont realy know how to do what you say.

Perhaps I should just turn time back to 30 if it helps.

I just tested it yet again, 4'th time. I saved on Monday 7am, restarted the game, and it said Sunday 7am when I loaded it back up. I think its a bug. Maybe the game ain't saving the day of the week?

are they related to Codemasters?

They must have been rushed to release this game.
It has so many bugs, and crashes that it is not funny even more.

Same here. Kept loading to a Sunday. Uninstalled mods, same problem, fully uninstalled and reloaded a new game, same problem.

Goddamnit.
