we are a week way from the release

Yes, but that's what I'm saying. Dead Money was promoted the same way. It was released on 21th of Dec last year, and the trailer was released on the 16th.

i don't understand why they won't release the trailer to us. it's obviously out somewhere, or we wouldn't have seen the tid-bit we've seen. they seem like they're bein jerks. i mean HH "has" to be complete, just release the damn trailer already. you'd think they'd release it just to shut us the hell up.

Well, while it's frustrating, it's not always so simple. Publishers usually have specific marketing plans to create buzz for their various titles and releases at different times. If marketing perceives that the best time to release the official trailer is about 5 days before the DLC is released, then that is when they will release it. People like us who already follow the release closely are unlikely to decide to suddenly not buy the DLC just because they ignored all the whining and didn't put the trailer up early. On the other hand, the fear they have is that if they promote a DLC like this too early, casual fans might forget about it by the time it is actually released, and they lose out on a sale. If a casual fan sees a trailer for Honest Hearts and it looks cool, he might want to buy it immediately. If he finds out the release if just a few days away, he'll be more likely to remember to buy it when it's out. If they release it a month early, by the time the release comes around some people might have forgotten because it's simply not that important to them and not a high profile release.

yea i hear ya. funny how some movies and some new games will have a teaser out 6 months - 1 year before it comes out (i.e- skyrim, kingdoms of amalur).

I suspect if Dead Money had sold much, much more than it did, we would have had announcements for the rest of the DLC much sooner, with more posts on Bethblog, and earlier trailers.

I'm all for making fun of PS3 but lets keep it on topic, dawg.

Anywhoosle. Seems like it will be any day now that they finally give us our damn bone and then feed us a few days later.

Soon is finally a pretty definite amount of days. :intergalactic:

it's less than 7 days until the DLC is out, and it still isn't up for pre-order on Steam or anything. Probably being held back by LACK OF PROMO VIDEO *cough*

Steam doesn't do preloads for DLC. They just pop up for sale the day they are available. Dead Money didn't have a Steam entry until the day it was on sale too.

Since alot of the info has been released on tuesdays, wouldn't it make sense for the trailer to appear tomorrow, which is one week from the release. what are your thoughts?

UPDATE: Now that we know the trailer did not come out on Tuesday, when do you think it'll be out?
