I dont like fast traveling because I love the landscape in the game so why not like Oblivion give us players a way to travel around without fast traveling??? PLEEEEASE

I think a broken down customizable old motorcycle would work great.

I'd love for Obsidian to bring back the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Highwayman and have it function as it did in Fallout 2. As a matter of fact, I'd be all for it if they completely replaced fast travel with it, considering I never use fast travel.

It'd make sense if the people of the wasteland used some kind of animal for a means of transportation. I wouldn't mind a salvage vehicle, either.

Yeah i like the animal idea too, i remember in Fallout 3 when if you go thru some of the computer files they talk about riding a mirelurk, and i was like that would be a good idea!!

I never played the old Fallouts but I clicked on your highwayman link and that would be pretty cool those cars are all over the place anyway

There's a motorcycle mod in FO3. Maybe someone could port that over?

It would be nice if there were transportation services like in Morrowind. BoS could have a teleporter (from hidden valley to safehouse, say), NCR could escort you through their bases, and so on.

No.

no car would work after sitting for 200+ years after a global nuclear which would fry most electronics due to EMP's.

even the car in Fallout 2 was dumb IMO.

I always liked the Highwayman.
The most stable rides I have seen after Fallout 2 has been based on Illysm's Ridable creatures.
J3X Chimera Tank mod was nice as well, but as slow as walking/running.

Wouldn't mind a nice vintage 1950's bicycle to go with my beret and stolen bread sticks I can put in my little basket mounted between the front bars.

The winding roads around the alpine areas of Jacobstown would make for a wonderful ride.

;)

hmmm, there's a distinct lack of bread in this game ? I can't seem to think of any bread in the game ? Guess pies are sort of like bread.

In all seriousness I'd like to see bicycles. Simple enough to put together and simple enough to run with nothing but pedal power, no petrol or nuclear fuel required :D

well even though maybe true for MOST cars, im sure there would be AT LEAST one car that worked... i suggested one hidden car by an oil field or gas station with leftover gas or somethim, if you dont like the car idea i suggested a bike or animal to ride, NONE of those are far from imagination like you suggest

As I said in a previous thread, I would only accept this if the transportation was a pogo stick

Hasn't anyone ever wondered how come not even the powerful factions have any other transport than their feet and brahmins? There's high tech weaponry and super computers but not the simpliest motor-based transport.

The only fallout game that had it right was fallout tactics. BoS with hummers was badass.

IIRC, the Great War was sort of triggered by lack of oil and cars don't work without fuel. So.....

But the highwayman in FO2 was fuelled by mfc and the world is full of it. Besides, the pre-war cars didn't use petrol but had atomic reactors. That's why they blew up when you shot them.

I'd prefer an animal over a vehicle. That's just me though. Honestly, if they were going to add something like that, I think it would be best to add a vehicle and an animal. The more options they give us, the better the game is for everyone.
