How useful is this perk? Is it worth it?

You can do quite well in this game with a steel sword, unenchanted. You don't need "treasures" to play. There's absolutely no way someone can tell you if it's worth it, because we don't know what you enjoy doing in the game. If you play the game to find treasures, it's almost a necessity. If you play the game to avoid finding treasures it's a curse. We all play the game differently... it's up to you to find what's fun for you.
