Trees and objects disappearing in worldspace

I have created a new worldspace and completed the LOD and it works great. The issue I am having is that the static objects (primarily trees) I place in the world fade out or just disappear when I get too far away from them when testing in game.... A cell or 2 away. When you play in the skyrim main worldspace (tamerial) you can see objects (trees, buildings, etc) from miles away, they are obviously a lower resolution but they don't just pop in and out depending on how far you are away. Is this a optimization option? How do I go about getting these objects seen from long distances in game?
