[WIP] Tribal Tribulations

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:34 am

This is a wip thread to announce my the next mod I am working on for New Vegas - Tribal Tribulations.

What is Tribal Tribulations

Tribal Tribulations is intended to be a large quest mod centered around the new town of Flightpath. At the moment I hope to include both a central story driven questline as well as numerous sidequests, ideally which will send you all over the countryside. All the quests are intended to be fully voice acted and lip synched. I also hope to add new items, perks, and( time permitting) new locations and dungeons to explore.

Due to the size an effort involved in creating large quest mods it may end up that I simply release this primarily as a 'new location' town mod in which the town of Flightpath itself is the only addition. But this isn't the plan at the moment.

Where and what is Flightpath

Flightpath is a tribal town built on the cliffs above Searchlight airport. It is a well defended and fortified town, one of the larger tribal settlements in southern Nevada. Due to it's location it has so far been ignored by the larger factions. Houses have been constructed by a range of materials, from left-over container trucks, to tents and even newer constructed wooden buildings.

How well is progress going

So far most of the exterior of the town (including the navmesh) is complete apart from some more gardening and some floating issues. I'm currently working on the interiors of the houses. Once they are completed I will create NPCs and then begin working on quests in earnest.

Are there any pictures yet

Yes there are, you can view my uploaded pictures at this website - https://sites.google.com/site/taloncompanymod/pictures (ignore the name in the address...it's definitely for this mod).

I will update this post/thread later on as well as post ideas for comment. I'd like this to be a somewhat user driven mod in terms of services/quest styles so please post a comment if you like. I'll be asking some questions later on so feel free to answer when I do that as well.

Big project, but sounds like it should be a lot of fun and a great addition when it is all done. Best of luck in getting everything going with it - especially since as I've said elsewhere, mods that add quests/areas/things-to-do are ALWAYS valuable mods - adding so much to the replayability and longevity of the game. :foodndrink:
