Tropico

Tropico 3 is now available on demand on Xbox live and I'm considering getting it. At this point in the month I'm only affording myself one game so I need to be convinced. It should be noted that I hate the Sims so if it is like the Sims I don't want it. I do enjoy a good civic simulator like Stronghold or Pharaoh but I'm having trouble seeing if that is what it is like. Would you recommend this game?

There is a demo available on Xbox Live, I'm sure of it. I liked the demo but it was a bit hard.

"On demand", you mean digital purchase? I guess it depends on how much it costs, though I have only played the PC version.

It's not exactly like The Sims, but it's kinda similar. You don't control individual people though... you build houses and businesses and stuff and set wages and prices, and the people adapt.

It's a civic simulator, and a really good one. Don't know about the quality of the port, but the game itself is grand.
