I am new to this but i'm learning pretty quickly but the last few days I have been having a lot of trouble saving everytime I load a piece that i have been working on and try to add more to it and save it i get a message that it is a master file or in use can anyone help me or shouls i be saving it under a new save name everytime because i have tried that too and each one olny has part of the whole thing i have been working on any help would be greatly appreciated thanks all

When you first open Creation Kit and begin loading your plugin file, make sure the file is set to active. There is a button on the lower left side of the pop up window. If you don't make it active you won't be able to save any changes to it.

Do you have skyrim running? When you loaded the plugin did you set it as the active file?
