Trouble summoning pets

Hi,

I'm having a bit of trouble summoning draemora lords or atronachs. When I try to summon one near me I see the screen flash but there are no dremora showing. Sometimes I have to cast 3-4 times to see a single pet show.

Is this a bug? Been seeing this quite recently. Could Twin Soul have a side effect causing the conjurer to have trouble summoning?

Or lucky me, it's just me having this trouble? lol

Does your character disappear in third person when you do this? Because I've been having this problem too.

What do you mean by "screen flash"? Do you mean the graphical fx of the "summoning portal" opening?

Otherwise, are you sure that you are targeting a valid location? Summon spells have a limited range, and if your cursor is "aimed" at a location that is outside of the casting range, the spell will simply fail.

Another possibility is your active stone. Are you using The Atronach by chance? Because there is something of a glitch with the absorption effect of that stone, where since summon cast as "on self" casts, you absorb the cast, and it doesn't take effect, causing you to have to recast the spell.

Another possibility is your active stone. Are you using The Atronach by chance? Because there is something of a glitch with the absorption effect of that stone, where since summon cast as "on self" casts, you absorb the cast, and it doesn't take effect, causing you to have to recast the spell.

The spell is cast normally (on the ground very close to my character) the portal sound plays as normal, however no creature appears (and my character disappears for a couple of seconds) I hadn't even chosen a stone on the playthrough.

Edit: actually, I'm using a modded save, and there is a spell absorption effect on the character [antronach perk]... that's probably it.

I tought at first it wuld be the range but I see a white target (red say it's too far). But...

Ah gawd, yes I do use The Atronach. I'll try another one to see if it is it. Didn't realised why my mana bar was sometimes back at full.

Well in my case, it's the Atronach stone that causing the problem. So the Atronach Perks (alteration) is out of the question also? If so, hope they can fix it.

Spell Absorption is such a good perk, I think it's worth it even with this extreme annoyance.

Sometimes on xbox my summoned Dremora don't appear right away, I have to open up the menu or the favorites to get 'em to appear.

If you cast it at your feet 3rd person turns invisible, ia a glitch, try casting it away from your character.

Well, with patch 1.6, the absorb perks still prevent the summoning of atronachs. Is there a way to report that to the devs?

They still havent fixed this? >< wow.....

Buy yes, the Atronach perk and stone bug out summons, that also includes certain Dragon Shouts.

My advice? Use the Lord Stone.

Well i tried the Atronach stone and tried to casts Storm Tralls. I had to cast 4-5 times to get one.

urgh well I find this useful and annoying useful because I'm a vampire and by absorbing my own spell I get magicka annoying because it take forever to summon dremora lords
