Troubleshooting mod conflicts

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 10:14 am

Lots of my mod's users are having difficulties getting their mods to work (most commonly mod conflicts), so I wanted to give them a link were they could run through some basic troubleshooting.

I did some searching around on forums/wikis/Google and couldn't find any comprehensive mod troubleshooting guide. I realize there's a "http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1343317-skyrim-mod-troubleshooting-best-practices/page__hl__troubleshooting__fromsearch__1" topic, but that really doesn't show users the steps necessary to identify conflicts, or what they should do if they find one, or even how to delete a mod from their system. Maybe I just missed a really great guide out there?

In the meantime, I sketched out a guide of my own and tossed in on my wiki profile page:

I considered creating a new page on the Creation Kit wiki for this, but I'm not certain if that's an appropriate location. I'd like to have it somewhere on a wiki so we can all make adjustments if necessary - any suggestions for a permanent home?

Edit:
Got no response on this, so I decided to go ahead and add a new wiki page. The link is below for anyone's use, and feel free to contribute!
