Tune finder

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:30 am

Which free site is linked a database of as many old tunes as possible? Old I mean Renaissance old, like the folk tunes and song books, up to tunes from the early 20th century. (Auld Lang Syne etc...)

A lot of the bloated sites are garbage, junk programming, interface, dumb input methods using verbose notations and then returns broken links. Some can't even find popular tunes like the US national anthem because of some stupid format error somewhere (e.g. forgot a header, a comma, underscore etc...).

It's supposed to let you enter the notes to the beginning of the song and find the name of the song for you.
