I played the demo, I was very disappointed with it. The turok for the 360 is a reboot to the franchise. It has more to do with giant dinosaurs than it does with weird creatures like aliens, cyborgs and Purlins...The guns are relatively mundane compared to the old ones and the AI was just awful.

how bad could the AI have been compared to them on the N64 ???

and if all this gae has enemy wise is dinos id be happy with that i hated the robots and most of the aliens

when you say the weapons got basic does that mean no more electronic frisbee of doom ??? or brain digging extractor thing if i remember correctly called the "bore" ??? or is there still at least 1 insane weapon like that in this game ?

I never beat it, but I played it on the PC for a few hours and I really enjoyed it. As far as I know, there aren't any mind-blowingly crazy weapons, but there might be one, as I said, I never beat it.

Personally, I never had any problems with the AI, and it's way more fun than it ever was to kill dinosaurs in that game than in the previous ones. The knife is your best friend.

But I think a lot of Turok fans weren't really happy with the game, so I guess it's not for everyone. Personally, I never liked when Turok games went crazy with aliens and things like that. I was happy just killing dinosaurs.

Turok on N64:

Closely resembles the comic.
The weapons range from the mundane everyday FPS type to the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ux4L3v9J_CI.
The storyline was pretty sweet and was awesome in Turok 2 as well.
Turok pwned FPS in its time.

Turok on 360:

Gears of War ( Space Marines!!!!!!! ) with dinosaurs and incredibly stupid enemies.
The game does not resemble the comic in any way other than name + dinosaurs.
The world you fight in is not The Lost Lands/Lost Valley but a generic jungle: see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090605/.
I wouldn't even rent this piece of crap if you're a fan. Unfortunately I was a fan, even had some of the original comic series, and I bought this piece of junk when it came out.

Do yourself a favor. Stay away from it at all costs.

it's very VERY loosely based on the original Turok games.

you play a Native American Space Marine who goes to a planet inhabited by Dinosaurs with other faceless space marines. It's set hundreds of years into the future when we've accomplished space travel.

the old story of the Traditional Native American fighting Dinosaurs in an alternate universe with cool weapons is a bit changed.

The last good Turok was Rage Wars on N64. Everything else after is just...laughably bad IMO. Seeds of Evil is one of my favorite games though. So fun and dark.
