Two is better than one. Or is it?

I know this has been discussed before but what's the overall consensus on whether or not dual flurry is good to use? In particular can you swing your weapons faster (not doing the double-trigger power attack). I'm just talking about left, and then right. Is it faster then just using a sword and shield if you have the dual flurry perks?

I've always been a firm believer in using 2h weapons if you're not going to use a shield. I don't find using two 1-handed weapons to be of any use, as it's just two attacks for a shield to block, rather than just one.

I don't find it is. i use sword and shield. It seems faster to use one sword. I think duel wielding using the fast power attack is the only perk to it.

I think dual wielding in Skyrim is good. I find it entertaining and quite useful.

My dual wielded is better than my sword and board worrier, but that's just because I can't block. Seriously I really svck at blocking.
