Two Bonuses?

Post » Thu Feb 03, 2011 2:28 pm

I was just wondering if it is possible to pre-order two copies of the game and receive two pre-order bonuses? I definately want the canteen and the binoculars but if I have to choose one, damn its hard to decide.

Is it possible to get either of them in the game anyway? If the Canteen is a Vault 13 Canteen, dose that mean you can get a standard canteen? And what about the binoculars? I feel that they should have been in FO3 anyway. Their such a useful item and add so much to game play. For example scouting out a position before you move in for a closer look. I don't see why they could not do it as they had enough buttons spare. I just find it annoying having to use a sniper rifle scope to scout ahead.

Why in the name of Norman Frempt would you buy another game for one ingame item?
I know some of us got disposable income but that's just unnecessary.

Because like I said it adds so much to game play. I have enough money put aside for Fallout NV and Call of Duty Black Ops. But after doing some serious thinking, I would spent much more time playing Fallout so would just end up buying COD and leaving it to one side.

The caravan gun isn't the only shotgun, I'd bet there will be some binoculars in the game somewhere.

You can find both binoculars and caravan shotguns in the regular game, without the pre-order bonus.

Is it possible to get actual confirmation? I don't want to buy two copies of the game for no reason. It's such a hard choice. WHY do they have to be so cruel!?

It's already been stated that you can add any number of unique pre-order bonus packs to your account. What you would do with so much equipment in the early game, I would not know. ^_^

Remember when the pictures revealing the preorder items were released? You know how on the bottom, in smaller text, it said "Also includes: (Insert items here)?

Those items are items that you just are given at the beginning of the game, but are found elsewhere in the game as well. Binoculars were one of those items. So, you go ahead and preorder the classic pack then have yourself some fun searching the Mojave for those binoculars that are confirmed to be in the game elsewhere.

A Caravan Shotgun isnt in a pre order pack. That is a shotgun in the game. You get the 'Sturdy Caravan Shotgun' which is not found in the game.

No, I'm not. I wouldn't want anybody ripping me off 60 dollars for a joke, so I wouldn't do that to anyone else.

you would probably only need the equipment you get from pre-order bonuses for the first few hours of game play

Every thing in the preorder packs are also in the vanilla game, or at least their non-unique variants are. Thats just a complete wase of money.

OK, seriously...DO NOT buy 2 copies, the gear you get isn't going to be that great anyways, and there are different canteens/binocs out there in the game world, so if you're going to get a pre-order package I'd say The Classic pack, because of the vault 13 canteen. That's about it. all the other stuff will be replaced withing an hour or 2.

Binocs are confirmed in Primm and canteens are a given, (i think they're confirmed, and if not it'd prolly break the game.)

if u really want more bonuses the most i could think of is get the other one on ebay or something. other then that i'm pretty sure most of the things u get in pre-orders will be in-game gear. just probably considered special weapons an such if anything at all.

Im kinda annoyed of people saying you will only use the things youll get in the pre order pack the first few hours. Some people like too use the same thing all along.

In fallout 3 I used my armoured vault suit and a hunting rifle through the entire game. I think thats more fun not to be a super character with super weapons. I jut had to say it. Im not accusing anyone. Just annoyed about it thats all.

Myself Im getting all 4 of them because i am a perfectionist so I hate when I don't have everything compete like dlc:s and such so I hade to get all of em. Typicall me. :P

So... you are spending about 200 dollars so you can have all 4? Hell, that's 240 if you have a console.

Yeah it probably is possible, but why would you spend an extra 60$ to get an ingame item?

Perhaps such things will be available as DLC later?
