two gameplay questions

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 6:50 pm

1) some items in my invetory (in my chests in Breezhome) appear in RED, is there a reason for this?

2) I have the light armor perk "25% bonus for a matched set." Do I get this as long as i have all four pieces as light armor, or does it all need to be the same typr of armor (i.e. all glass, or the full nightengale set as opposed to mixing Nightengale stuff with Dark Brotherhood).

Thanks

1.) You have stolen the item.

2.) I think it has to be entirely the same set (i.e all glass etc.)

I believe there is another perk for all the same type of armor, i.e. elven or fur. The 25% bonus is for any light armor. Im not in game, but it describes further in the perk tree...

1. Is already answered, and you cannot sell stolen items at normal shops but have to find a fence or get the perks in the Speech tree. Using stolen materials for smithing and enchanting will mark the crafted item as stolen, too. Alchemy is possibly the same, but I have not tried it yet.

2. The first perk is for wearing 4 light armor pieces (Custom Fit, +25% bonus), and a second perk exists for wearing 4 light armor pieces of the same material (Matching Set +25% bonus). They do add up.

Custom fit, wind walker, deft movement require four pieces of any light armour, matching set requires four of the same type, e.g. all Elven.

So, Is the Dark Brotherhood and Nightengale Armor two different types as far as "matchig set' is concerned? i hope not becasue i loke the gloves of DB, but all the rest from Nightengale.

Yep. You have to wear all nightengale or thieves to gain the perk.

Spoiler
The steed stone grants the same thing but you can mismatch your armor, unlike the perk in the tree.http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Steed_Stone
If you want^ but I wear all glass for light armor cause I like how it looks.

Hey I just realized you can mix heavy and light armor and use the perks for each tree. I wasnt sure either truth be told. Experimenting with new stuff, in my opinion, learns you cool ideas!
