I've fully restored the thieves guild, became guildleader, yet...

Being referred to as "Brynjolf's newest protege" after being guildmaster.
Being told not to walk away from a job, and I better not mess things up..as the guildmaster...
Overall still being referred to as a scrub despite being the damned guildleader while at the same time being praised as the guildleader...
Karliah staying in Snow-Veil sanctum rather than the Nightingale hall...
No portal between the hall and sepulcher?
Turning in the journals to Vekel doesn't remove them, nor do I get any reward for doing so....
It is now impossible for me to get the larceny item: Model Ship because apparently I fus ro dah'd it into oblivion during battle....
Killing the guard of Mercer Frey's home doesn't fail the option of "clearing his debt"....

This is true in much of the game. It bothers me more regarding the Civil War rather than the TG though.

THE HUGE FREAKING VAULT SITS EMPTY AND USELESS!!!

I think there might be a couple barrels that you can activate, but even the chests are static chests. You can't activate or store anything in them! It would have been nice to have a ton of chests, wall hangings, mannequins, and display cases to store all our loot. What the flying flippity [censored] [censored] [censored] is that? We get nothing.

And what about Mercer's old mansion? That would have been nice to have upon being the Guildmaster. That house just sits empty and useless, too.

Create a mod to fix this?

This is not a bug, your are not the official guild master yet.

You have to do the side quests to build up the guild again from Vex and (forgot the other guys name). After doing one of each side quest in a city (you need to do all in the 5 major cities) you will get a special request quest in that city. Once you complete all 5 major cities, you will have brought wealth back to the guild and there will be an informal ceremony making you the guild master.

Even Karliah comes back and joins the guild permanently.

The npc's will then react differently to you, and only then.

People don't seem to realize to complete the full guild quest lines you have to also do the side quests.

also do not sell your thief's gear, you will need it to upgrade to the master thief's gear. This is a bug and will prevent you from completing the questline... unless of course they patched it (I am not sure if they have however)

And all of a sudden there are thieves running around riften getting killed by the city guard. This only happened after I finished the Mercer Quest.

Also very disappointed in the upgrades both to the guild and nightingale hall. A couple of rugs on the wall turn a dump into a palace? Sounds like thieves have low expectations, the place still looks like a dump to me. At least in my game the treasure room doors locked again. At least that way I can imagine it is full of gold instead of seeing it is actually empty.

What is with Nightingale hall being on the the opposite side of the country as the place they are supposed to be guarding?

At this point I just assume that all of the factions are getting DLC that will give them real upgrades.

Well, I'm the guild master, completed enough jobs, got the special contracts, etc., and everything is still broken as OP described.
Karliah really came back permanently in your game ?

i think its just generic NPC dialogue that the game introduces once you join, but doesnt take away ever. I was the leader of the companions with my warrior character and I still had guards asking me if I was doing mead runs for them.

The chests in the treasury?

I'm the guild master and I can't get into the treasury.

Karliah staying at snow viel sanctum is a bug. When i was guildmaster all she did was fart around the cistern in the guild.

That is weird because in mine they don't say stuff like that to me, the thing that pisses me off is how Brynjolf told me to come talk to him if I have questions about being the guild master and yet all he says is "Sorry lad... I've got important things to do... We'll speak another time."
Other than that the other guild members acknowledge me as the guild master and Karliah is in the guild place now.

Yep, She is in here nightingale armor though. She shows up for the ceremony of where you become the official guild master and stays.

You need to bring the guild back to its former glory before he will talk to you. Do the side quests, see my prior posts.

I have already done the side quests. I have the Guildmaster Armor and did the ceremony where I became the guildmaster.

Forgot to say I got the trophy for returning the guild to its former glory.

With my first character I fully restored the guild and they still said that stupid stuff on occasion. The game is rife with similar niggling issues like that. In my current game Ulfric is dead yet a lot of people still refer to him as though he's alive.

Thats an odd bug then, sounds like your stuck before bring the guild back up... but if you have completed the questlines, then something is definitely bugged. Maybe there is a fix through the console?
