Hi, I'm playing New Vegas on a high performance PC. The game is playing well enough, but I have a black band about 2 inches wide on the right side of the screen, and the whole screen seems skewed to the left. It isn't a monitor issue, as this is the only game that has this problem. Has anyone else come across this, and does anyone have a solutions? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Is it the borders on top and bottom like when you try to run something in widescreen mode on a non widescreen monitor?
sorry diddnt read it good enough the first time.... thats strange. video card problem maybe?

Or perhaps the game is set for 4:3 resolution and the monitor is widescreen?

are you running the game at the native resolution for the monitor?

The only "banded" screen symptoms that I am aware of rise out of the crap for video Intel chipset video chips being misused as if they had gaming capability.

Disable the Windows Sidebar

The author never added any further comment yesterday, so most likely, whatever the problem was, he solved it himself (herself) or one of the responses yesterday already covered it.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply. It was indeed a resoloution issue, and once I meesed around a bit with this, the problem was solved. I thought I'd let you know in ccase anyone else has the same problem. Thanks once again.
