Uhm... Pepperoni?

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 8:13 am

I can't believe I am asking this here, but I am genuinely curious. I only have a handful of mods in play, most of them basic cosmetic ones for character creation stuff. I have been slowly leveling a new character, my usual white-haired Dunmer female.

I found a random drop - and now I do not even remember where, but it was in or on a chest or table as I was exploring. It looks like Leather Strips, but it was labeled "Pepperoni". I have saved it but I was wondering if anyone else had come across this? It was so random, it made me laugh.

Not that I have encountered yet in my 250+ hour gameplay. Would be awesome if one could cook up a pizza in Skyrim!

Lol that is random. Never heard of anyone finding Leather Strip shaped pepperoni before so might be one of your mods. Can't you remember where you found it or which mod? I want one.

Edit: Can't find anything on the wiki/UESP so I guess it's from a mod. Weird mod. :P

Type help "pepperoni" 4 in the console. It should show a formid number. Take the first two digits of the formid and compare to your load order.

I'm pretty sure you were dreaming, or had a weird mod installed. Looking through the creation kit of Skyrim.esm, there's no item called "pepperoni" or anything that stats with pep.

There's nothing in Wiki about pepperoni, the weirdest food item that I've found was long taffy.

Just so you all don't think I am crazy, http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u318/leydenne/Pepperoni.jpg(with a new dark hair style on my Dunmer....)

I have emailed a friend for whom I did a little testing of a quest mod he was working on (not release), to see if he was the culprit. My other few mods are for skin and hair textures and to reduce the weight of potions. Pretty sure they aren't adding items to the game.

But I have to say, I kind of wish a gamesas dev stuck a random item in the game. I was in the habit early on with this character of opening every dresser type thing in any caves. She hasn't explored much, only being level 14.

Haha, that would be great if Beth had put random things that made absolutely no sense in the game.

That's all we need. People sticking random, bizarre items into their mods just to confuse people.

I actually find it pretty hilarious. But I was hoping it would reveal a secret cooking quest... to make pizza.

Oh, I'd find it hilarious, too. At the same time, though, it could get frustrating finding all these things and having no idea what they go to. Until you get in on the joke, anyways.

I have never found pepperoni after 200 hours of playing and I think it's funny you found that. From the screenshot it looks more like beef jerky... ;)

That doesn't look edible to me. I'd take it back for a refund.

I found a "long taffy treat" somewhere, looked like a red rope :lmao:

Well, what do you know, it is a entry under ALCH (alchemy ingredients) in Skyrim.esm :lmao: No pepperoni in my mods, though.

As a sidenote, huge (non-sarcastic :hehe:) :goodjob: for the help command, Bethesda!

I thought it was an edible worm or something when I saw it at first.

Looks like a modder copied "leather strips" and just renamed them pepperoni.
