I turned off vsync in skyrim and notice that when I strike my sword on the ground looking directly downwards, without fraps running (tried to record it to show you all on this forum) the game flickers really crazily, likejust this faint black flicker and the sound goes a bit funny.

I think its something to do with the framerate, because once I turned fraps on, it couldn' be reproduced...

Thoughts??

Fraps said the game was running at 140FPS too, so maybe a high FPS can cause wierd flicker??!!!?!?!!

why have you turned vsync off ? can you not just leave it on it helps to stop screen tearing , maybe thats what you are seeing a little bit of screen tearing , i would just leave vsync on and see if that stop the problem.
