Unable to loose at Blackjack

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 5:51 am

I have Nine Luck, and I have only been beaten by the AI About four times since the release date.

There is literally no way for the AI to win when you have high luck

I can be at 19, and 80% of the time, my next card will ALWAYS be either an Ace or a Two

By the Way, I svck at Blackjack.

I have a Luck of 7,well, did before I made a new character. I like it that way, it has its highs and lows, besides, blackjack is a relatively swinging game once you get the hang of it. I'm pretty good, but I like to take them for what their worth. So I try my luck to win three oranges at slots.

Heh, slots are another matter - Luck dosent help that much with them in my opinion

I cannot count how much of my won blackjack money got eaten by the slot machine nearby

I don't "lose" at Blackjack much either. I used to play a little handheld Blackjack game while watching TV for years - got to be almost automatic what to do.

I used to have a Blackjack Psp game, now lost in the mess on my desk

But really, high luck means you dont need strategy in the game, the 'Game' will provide you with a win even if your just hampering 'Hit me' All day long

No, this is intentional. It's a role-playing game, see. When you give your character bigger numbers on his stats, it means he gets better in certain things. You have a very lucky character so... he's really lucky at the casinos. Now try the same thing with a character that has a Luck of 1.

I understand this fact, but when it becomes so consistant that He never looses it gets a bit far fetched

How many rounds of Blackjack can even a leprechaun win in an hour?

I'm able to come out ahead in real life when I go to the casinos solely by following the time honored strategy of doubling down with 10 or 11 when the dealer is showing less than 10. In this game, with a luck of 9 or 10, double down every hand and you're pretty much guaranteed to be banned in 10 hands or less.

Yeah, it's far-fetched. But at the same time, so are plasma guns, two-headed cows, robot cowboys, fire-breathing ants, people becoming ghouls due to radiation, minigun-wielding super mutants, a massive tribe of Roman soldiers reincarnate, surviving a gun shot to the head, and food that doesn't spoil even after 200 years. ;)

Luck is a far-fetched skill anyway. At least it's balanced by the fact that the casinos will only let you run over them for so long before they cut you off.

Caravan is where the real money is anyway. They really need to fix that game in the next patch. It could probably be fun, but at the moment it's nothing more than a license to steal without repercussion.
