Underwater secrets

I think it would be awesume to have underwater ruins. And it would be beast if there were sea serpents and mermaids. Make it like real fantasy!

No argument with that! Its one of those dungeons where u require something to survive like the vaults from fallout where u need lots of rad-x. They need to put something like that in the game btw.

I was honestly rather disappointed with the lack of, really anything at all underwater.
The only reason you ever need to go under water, is if you're in desperate need of nordic barnacles, & pearls.

Oblivion has dozens of interesting little things just under the water, & Morrowind had several under water ruins, a few dungeons that could only be accessed by going deep sea diving, not to mention quite a few major quest points hidden under the water.

They should not put mermaids and serpents under the water just because they are in "real fantasy". I am no lore-expert, but as far as i know, mermaids dont exists in TES.
It would be cool to stumble upon a group of argoniains living underwater thou.

No serpents or mermaids. No lore to back it up, especially not in lakes. But it would be nice to find a flooded home with goodies every once in a while and in the oceans, giant castles or ruins swallowed by the sea. By the way, didn't Winterhold fall to the sea? It would've been nice to see the remainder of the most resilient buildings, including the old castle of the Jarl.

I was just swimming around in the Sea of Ghosts today thinking that there was seriously nothing of interest. Winterhold should have an entire sunken city in the water! What a missed golden opportunity for a great underwater adventure. A good way to instill fear in people, not being able to fight, and some not being able to breath.

Yes yes yes! A secret lair accesable only by those that could hold there breath!!!! YES!!!! O but fill it with water spiders... and giant sea squids... and... THE KRACKEN!!!!

Obvious Troll is Obvious...

Actually i do like the idea, i never go underwater in the first place... but if there were some special equipment and dungeons i would definatly do some diving...

Maybe they could even have a Titanic Easter Egg in the Sea of Ghost (I love how im talking like they can still add things this big)

It'd be cool if there were race-specific locations you could and could not go to.

As an example, an underwater location where only Argonians could survive there.

And how does that make them Mermaids? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Veyond_Cave. Those are Tribal's.

The closest thing we have to Mermaids are http://images.uesp.net/4/47/DaggerfallLamia.gif from Daggerfall.

I suppose you could count in Dreugh's, but the remnants of the last Kapla don't seem very mermaid like to me.

As did Oblivion, I used to go on deep sea archery expeditions in the Shivering Isles.
