Unescepabale Death Ray

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 10:13 am

Imagine you are playing one of those spaceship shooters and suddenly a death ray that spans the width of the screen appears, no matter how skilled you are there is no way you are ever going to escape that death ray. That, is how the headshot is in New Vegas, you could be annihilating a group of legion soldiers, they could be almost dead and you could be at 70% hp, but 1 bullet, just 1 single bullet, could bring that 70% down to 0%. I play on very hard mode and it may not be like that on easier modes, but the point of high difficulty isn't for random unescapable death rays, the point is to make the game more challenging.

Sorry if i posted in the wrong section.

The difficulty modifier only controls scalers for your damage and how much damage you take.

Then the X10 (or more) multiplier on headshots should be removed imo.

So your basically saying they should make headshots completely pointless, [its double damage by the way]. Why not remove limb damage while there add it.

Be thankful eyeshots were removed from both FO3 and FONV.

Honestly I think their implementation of the GURPS hit chart is perfectly acceptable. I'm thankful they took out the shock and bleed effects from FO1 ;)

Maybe the guys problem is he plays on very hard with one endurance, no armor, that or he's trying to melee deathclaws, as I have trouble imagining who other then Boone would one shot him in the head.
