I'm using CBBE models and BellaGail's better females, but I don't want them to override all the females in a game, I want them to override only my main characters look.

If I copy it into my Data folder as it is, I will override everything, so I tried to create my own race and set it to use given meshes and textures, but I was not able to find where to set location of femalehead_msn.dds .

Any help would be appreciated (if this is even possible). But I've seen many e.g. companion mods using custom meshes and textures only for selected NPCs, not overriding every character in game.

you probably need to create a Head Part that is specific to your race. try using the default human head mesh and assign it a new texture set that overrides the vanilla texture with the bellagail ones
