Some magazines are sold by vendors (in this case I'm looking out for some Locksmith's Readers which enables me to unlock very hard locks @ 75 sp) and I wonder if with enough stock refreshes if they restock magazines?

For example, the Wiki says that Locksmith's Readers are sold by Craig Briscoe and Calamity (Jacobstown). So basically I'm asking if anyone knows if the magazine route is viable solution to not spending an extra 25 pts on Lockpicking xD?

Or alternatively, does anyone care to share their methods of unlocking V. Hard locks with under 100 skill?

I'm pretty sure vendors will restock magazines, yes.

I use mentats + magazines. With my setup, I have Lockpick of 86, and I can unlock the Very Hard locks with 1 Mentat + 1 Magazine. I'm guessing you've got the double magazine bonus perk (which, as the game went on, I realized that I SHOULD have taken). But, it also depends what you Perception is. I'm sure that you can, if you want to, have a lockpick of 74, use your (doubled) magazine), take tobacco(+1 PER) and a mentat, and voila, Lockpick skill = 100 (albeit for a short time)
