Unofficial Android Discussion II

Figured I would finally start a new thread for discussing Android phones, apps, and everything between.

Have to say the battery on my droid 2 after the 2.3 update has been weird, it will go from full to almost nothing quickly and then having it plugged in for only a few minutes will send it to almost full charge. Also the new market design that has been out for some time I am finally getting used to but still annoyed that games get mixed in with apps. If I go to apps I want actual applications not games, if they are going to be mixed why even have a separate games category?

My dad got some new phone from HTC so he gave me his old Droid Incredible. I like this phone, its pretty sweet but I still like an actual keyboard and I miss my Droid 2 :(.

I introduced myself to Pulse today, what an amazing, amazing, amazing news app.

Also, still want to put Battleheart out there as one of the best games on Android, it's worth every penny.

Running Koush' ICS ROM on my Nexus S. Some bugs, like I can't seem to do in-app purchases, video playback is choppy, etc. Overall it's quite usable as a daily ROM.

On that topic, anyone tried to build the CM 9 alpha's themselves? I repo sync'd, tried brunch crespo, but it errors out with "dalvik/CleanSpec.mk:47: *** missing separator. Stop.". Don't really know the makefile syntax, but it looks OK...

I like it, but it is just unbelievably repetitive after awhile. Yeah, you get new armor and weapons, but it's the same game formula over and over. Fun for the first few hours, not much after that.

Update on the http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/06/ics-based-cyanogenmod-9-its-on-track-but-not-for-everybody/. Almost all phones that can currently run the latest CyanogenMod release will be able to get it, but not quite all.

If anyone is looking for a fun game to play on their Droid check out Dungeon Defenders, its a free game in the Market. It has a weird control scheme for some reason but might just take some getting used to. Full game can be bought on Steam which I think is pretty good as well.
