The Last Story got a European release date now, February 24th. Also bought Xenoblade Chronicles today, although I can't play it as I don't have a Wii

Still trying to decide if I should buy a Wii now to be able to play Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story, or simply just wait for the Wii U instead as it will be backwards compatible seeing I'm not in a big hurry to play the games
now.
Really looking forward to importing The Last Story (not waiting ~6 months again to see where NoA stands). I played a bit of the Japanese version and the combat was very interesting. Plus, I'll eat up whatever Mistwalker dishes out.
Wii U is rumored to be quite pricy though, and I can't imagine a ton of games coming out for it right away. Might be best to get a Wii now (they can be had pretty cheap here in the States) and see what the Wii U looks like in a few years.
Sweet, I'm going to watch that, now... and I love that song.

now. Does XIII-2's gameworld have any full-blown towns in it and aside from the much-improved maps, how free-to-roam is the gameworld as a whole (with whatever that time-travel system is and everything else I don't understand or know much about, is the gameworld divided into levels that cannot be returned to like in XIII)? Also, what's the general consensus about Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch in Japan? Is it true... it's really running at a target framerate of 60 fps?
Edit: I see places strongly resembling towns and even a transition between one of those areas and a hostile wilderness area... my hopes... they're growing.
There are actual towns, NPCs, etc. There's also a casino called Serindipity that has a bunch of minigames like Chocobo Racing and so on (basically Gold Saucer from Final Fantasy VII) and a Coliseum in which you'll be able to battle boss-like enemies (DLC) and recruit them to your party. How the world is all connected, I can't really say for sure. Travel from one time period to another via the Historia Crux is apparently similar to traveling between worlds in the Kingdom Hearts games (i.e. Gummi Ship). The part I'm unsure of is exactly how expansive each time period is. Regardless, Square has said that you can backtrack to previous areas for side quests and such.
As for Ni no Kuni, it's about the same as the DS version (though sales are much lower because of said DS version). There are mixed feelings about the game's story (again, same as the DS version). I'm afraid I don't know about its framerates, but 60 FPS seems entirely plausible considering the game's lightweight cel-shading (for comparison, games like Modern Warfare 3 runs at 60 FPS as well).
When will versus thirteen be released or FFX remake?
Versus XIII, possibly late 2012 in Japan/early 2013 elsewhere. Final Fantasy X HD, no clue. I'd say Q3/4 2012 is a safe bet.
