Unofficial Guild Structure thread

As I'm just done completing all guilds in Skyrim, I gotta say I am disappointed by them. You always feel like you're a rookie in the guild(as people always tell you what to do) and you never feel you rise through ranks. Once you've done completing them it's ''Oh, you're the new guildmaster and you deserve it, take that unique guildmaster trinket and buzz off''. That's really it. It's extremely disappointing, you don't feel like you earn your position and frankly, the questlines are too short.

In this thread, we discuss how we would want the guilds to be structured. No talk about quests or new guild proposals. We only talk about how they guild should be structured. IE, how quickly should we rise through ranks, what should be the benefits of being a master, should there be restrictions(such as a warrior with no magic skills not having the requirements to join the mages guild), how should the guilds be located, number of members etc.

Discuss.
