What's new? :P

Turn up the contrast to see a giant netherbrick bridge.

Dead center; can't miss it.

I'm not a fan of the food requirement, it's a shame that can't be disabled in single player without removing so many other things. :(
Oh, I quite liked the idea.

Food requirements are a pet peeve of mine. I think I'll give Minecraft a break until I can pick up a mod to disable it.

Creepers need to go die.

Just let them walk up to you, they'll gladly die for you.

Ah good old creepers. So many happy memories. My favourite memory is a time I was digging a 4x4 mineshaft straight down as a strip mine. A creeper fell in the hole above, landed next to me, blew up the floor and dropped me in a pool of lava, costing me a diamond set and a full inv of cobble, iron and coal etc.

I've been playing 1.8.1 by myself and I have to say, its pretty amazing. The first thing the game generated was the new mossy trees. The next thing I saw was a giant fissure/canyon carved into the ground. After exploring it a bit I found an abandoned mineshaft.

I kind of keep my distance from Endermen...and after you realize all you have to do is ignore them they dont seem so scary.

I'm stoked to explore it further!

Okay, I don't mind only healing when you're not hungry, but starving to death is just annoying.

they definitely need to nerf the health system or at least attach it to the difficulty setting because its ridiculous just standing there and dying without being able to do ANY thing to prevent it.

I am talking about when your hunger bar is full and you are fighting any enemey, you have to just sit there and watch your self die over and over again because the stupid health regen is too slow.

they set out to improve combat and they have made it game breaking.

My moat has saved my house 2 times now. Apparently creepers don't damage land while in/under water.

:stare:

the problem isn't fighting its that you have no way of healing your self other than the regen when hunger is full and that isn't fast enough when fighting 3 skeletons or even just one blue spider.

Perhaps potions would be a good idea?

Personally I'd like to see a reduction in random surface mobs at night, there can be way too many of them at times.

potions would be nice.

it would balance the whole health system out.

but so would a mod, i kind of wish notch released the api with 1.8 like he said he would. that way mods would not be so incompatible.

I just wish monsters would quit spawning on top of trees. Unless its spiders as that would make sense.

I also wish that people would quit leaving half cut trees everywhere.

if by half cut you mean 1 block missing, thats endermen, they have been doing that to a bunch of trees and now the forests look stupid with floating trees all over the place.

That's why I always keep a flint 'n tinder on me. Can't reach the higher pieces of wood? Make sure the tree isn't too close to anything else and burn the thing. :P
