Haha! So the man who posts about "gentlemanly activities" on his blog and makes jokes about sleeping with Simon's mother has a hissy fit over someone using the F-Word?
Oh the irony....
From reading up on the twitter posts by Notch and comments from TotalBiscuit and Athene, it seems as though this whole "scandal" is a result of Notch's wounded ego. Its increasingly seeming as though Simon and Lewis were more popular than Notch at the convention, and as he didnt appreciate their humour or popularity, waited until the end to release a torrent of hate on them. Most of it seems like a child saying "He said she said". Hopefully when the Yogscast releases a statement we'll get a picture. However:
First of all, the Yogscast is their job, they're entitled to some manner of pay to cover their flights and expenses. They dont have fountains of money to waste like Mojang, so they need some incentive to take the long trip out to Vegas.
And Notch, be honest here, without the Yogscast Minecraft would be no-where as big as it is now. They're on of the largest Youtube channels, and how many people have been drawn to Minecraft just because of them. You may have created the game, but they're the ones who publicised. advertising and demonstrated the game to the world. In reality, without the Yogscast Minecraft would just be a small indie game, because Mojang isnt run well enough to advertise properly primarily because Notch still acts like a child and they have the professionalism of a pack of walnuts.
Finally, anyone who's seen their videos or listened to their podcasts would be familiar with how they work. Simon and Lewis are both sarcastic, make the micky out of everything and muck around to no end. Yes they swear, but its a part of their sense of humour (one could even say its the 'British' sense of humour). Fair enough, some Americans (and Notch) may not have gotten this straight away, but you don't immediatly cry out that they're mean old bullies. If Notch had seen all of their content beforehand, he'd have gotten then.
Thats my current two cents anyway. I for one will be looking for the Yogscast press release when they get home.
