Red Dead Redemption is a Western epic, set at the turn of the 20th century when the lawless and chaotic badlands began to give way to the expanding reach of government and the spread of the Industrial Age.

Surely there are more relevant things to link to than the front and back cover

I think the six scene is pretty cool.

It's a fun game, but I'm still highly disappointed in Rockstar's porting-oriented incompetence... or at least I perceive it as incompetence. The PS3 version is a technical joke. :meh:

That's pretty much all I ever talk about in relation to the game.

Really great game. I just wish it were available on the PC... :(

And as good as it was, I think there's massive room for improvement as far as sandbox games in a western setting go. Things like the random encounters, mini-games, etc. took away the feeling of actually being there. The towns lacked something, and didn't seem believeable to me. Multiplayer was fairly awful and should've just been left out. And a little more character customization similar to Mass Effect would've been nice.

Not the best game ever, sure I enjoyed it, but after a while there wasn't anything new to do.

That's the case with every game, the only difference between them is how long 'a while' takes. Compared to many other games released these days, I was pleased to find out that it turned out to be a pretty long time.
