Unofficial Torchlight Thread

Yesterday I picked up Torchlight againa nd ran through Easy hardcoe with with a Destroyer. All I did was right click using the first skill he gets and not putting any points into it at all. Well I retired that character at level 34 and restarted on normal with a new destroyer, I wanted to do hardcoe as wlel but missed the option. Again all I am doing is right clicking since I barely take any damage. I also have a level 64 Alchemist who just spams the Ember Bolt, I thinkt hats the name anyways of the three pillars of fire, and has been working through the shadow vault with him. I haven't tried Vanquisher yet but was considering it.

I also used Hotspot, the successor to Torchleech, to grab a few mods but they don't seem to have taken affect. Not too sure why though since they should have. I know three UI mods worked but the game play ones not so much.

I am getting irrtated with the enchanter as he keeps stripping items. Makes it a chance of loss so its not over powered but its getting annoying, though a great gold sink for the little money I actually accummulate. Any good mods to change this behavior? I read of one before but forgot the name of it and don't see any on Hotspot.

Feel free to also discuss Torchlight 2 here as well. Does anyone also know how tough the editor is? I want to make, or try to make, a few small things possibly.

IMHO, Torchlight on anything less than hard isn't fun.

I got bored of the game rather quickly. It was extremely repetitive. Although maybe it's simply not my type of game because I got sick of the endless loot. I felt no satisfaction at all in acquiring it. Besides, when there's such a huge focus on all the shiny crap, you should have a chance to show it off or something. Decorating my houses in OB and MW was way more satisfying (especially when I stole something).
I'll look up Torchlight 2 and see what the difference between the two is.

I am grinding out my Destroyer to level 100 and then starting him over as hard/hardcoe. I have been steam rolling through normal even at around level 55.

I think that's just the type of game it is, like Diablo or Borderlands.

I'm more looking forward to Torchlight 2 since it has multiplayer.

Yeah, didn't like Borderlands for that precise reason.
