OP by http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/user/695262-cowlick035/.

This is a thread for those who are not sure whether their rig will run RAGE atall, if they want clarification on whether their PC will run RAGE, if they seek advice on what hardware/PC to buy, or if they wish to know what setting they will likely run the game on.

Please list your system specifications below and I will provide my knowledge on the subject.

CPU: (to find: over 'my computer' right click and select 'properties')
GPU: (to find: over your desktop right click and select 'properties' go to the 'settings' tab)
RAM: (to find: same as CPU)
Resolution: (to find: same as GPU)
+ anything else you deem necessary

All those willing to help me discuss may do so, in fact I encourage them to do so.

I also encourage any lurkers to join up if they have not yet done so.

On my PC, Crysis 2 runs on Extreme with 55+ FPS and BFBC2 runs on highest settings, so im good for Rage?!

Phenom X4: 2.6 Ghz quad core
RAM: 4 gigs
Card: Radeon 4870 512 mb 256 bit
W7 64 bit

Please answer Cowlick cuz I'm in doubt about buying new PC soon, or even sooner to get ready for Rage!

Well you haven't defined your CPU or resolution, but going by the performance you're getting out of the games you mentioned and your 4870, you should be good for around 60fps at mid-high settings, I wouldn't recommend a new PC until you've defined your current CPU and the resolution you usually play at, but a GPU upgrade will certainly give you a better performance at a much cheaper price than a brand new PC.

Hmm, not the greatest CPU so I'll revise my previous observation of how the game will perform on your system, 60fps at medium settings, just a prediction, but if you are an enthusiast gamer then perhaps the time for an upgrade is close.

EDIT: This is taking into account the higher resolution than I predicted also.
