I'd need a corrupt save in the first place.

I hope it helps you out

For each character I tend to run 2 saves and keep over-writing the oldest one.

Then if something goes terribly wrong (and it hasn't yet) I have only lost an hour or so instead of an entire character's tale.

No. And that is a bad choice for a title.

I came for the turkey.

I was very disappointed.

But I'm not sure there's a way to undo corruption on a Skyrim save unless you manually went through the thing.

Best way to do it.

Version 1.4 cleaned save games up a great deal but it's doubtful that a patch will ever un-corrupt a save.

Yes. There was a wave of relief in these forums when 1.4 fixed save game bloat. I can't comment on your particular experience.

The best way to fix a corrupt save is to delete it.

Hopefully, you were doing multiple saves that way you could continue from an earlier save (before the corruption), but not lose your whole character.

If not, then starting over is a refreshing way to rediscover the game.

There is a savegame anolyzer on the Nexus. It doesn't actually let you manipulate the file but it might at least let you diagnose the problem.

I certainly hope so, 1.6 is supposed to fix the save corruption and respawning bug issues. These are the two main bugs stopping me from enjoying my game. I can barely even play it now without it freezing every 5 mins. I won't be starting again, not after finding out 300 hours of my life are now gone, I just couldn't do that again. Which means I'd be unable to play the DLC, I haven't even completed the Main Quest or any of the Guild Questlines.

I pray to the nine that 1.6 fixes current saves and repairs the respawning bug that's made some areas in my game void of enemies.

There's no telling until it's released. It may fix some, all or none of the currently corrupted saves.

I doubt it can fix a save that's already corrupted. You can't load a corrupted file, anyway.

We're talking about the bloated save problem though, You can load that it just freezes every 5 minutes or so.

There's loads of people hoping it does. 300 hours of my life we're talking about here. I'd amassed huge amounts of gold and interesting and unique items as well.. I couldn't bear to start all over from scratch, without my perks and stats as well.
