update 1.3

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 12:01 am

so is update 1.3 large address aware? does it utilize the full 4 gb of memory?

i ask cuz i just updated, and have noticed a performance decrease, i check my memory useage and it seems to be about 50-60% of my physical ram.

this has of course made skyrim 4gb unuseable, but using the reg launcher it doesnt appear to be using more system memory then before >.<

just wanted to get it cleared up

like what? to my knowledge i havent had a issue making any texture mod work, tho i was using skyrim 4gb thing before, now if its no longer needed thats great, but i kinda wonder why my fps went DOWN instead of up like everyone elses seems to have >.<

1.3 fixed what 1.2 broke. 1.3.10 added support for 4gb and since that patch my game has not crashed once at all. Before that patch i could not play without Skyrim4gb.

hmm, yup, i pause and it shows 1.3.10.0

perhaps its because of the various things i have installed? lots of texture replacers, and the enb thing...which come to think of it, would this make the ENB thing otu of date or something?

I saw quite a bit of performance improvement with the 4gb patch. Prior to the patch I had to set every thing to medium quality now I can set it to ultra.

It could be a texture pack although i would bet it is the ENB mod you are using that might be causing slow down. Disable it and run the game to see if you notice a difference.

Performance has not decreased for me with the latest update, so yeah has to be one of your mods.

Unless you have the link to the mod i wouldn't know.

If it uses an ESP file, then launch Skyrim click on deta files and uncheck the little box of which ever mod.

If it does not then you will need to delete all of the files you copied and pasted into your Skyrim folder. This is why you should always keep a back up of your Skyrim folder when you start using mods, that way if things go wrong all you do is replace the modded folder.

Okay this may sound silly, but how do I install the latest patch? I cannot find an "update" button or anything.

It updates automatically in Steam.
